We are a private duty agency geared towards providing in-home personal care services to our clients. We strive to give the best quality care to our clients. We take into consideration your needs, and ultimately match you with the best caregiver. We will help you find a caregiver who meets your needs and has the specialized training that you have been looking for. Matching begins immediately after you are entered into our system.

We offer fifteen in-home services by providing companion care, homemaker services, and live-in care to our clients.

Our caregivers are specialized in caregiving. We strive to match the right caregiver to the right client. We want to make sure you have the best experience with Comfort Caregivers, and that your caregiver matches your every need.

Companion/Sitter Services

Caregivers provide companionship for their clients. They talk with their clients and keep them company.

Homemaker Services

Perform day-to-day household duties for client. Includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping and laundry.

Escorting to Appointments

Caregivers escort clients to appointments and errands using the client’s car.

Respite Services

Temporary relief for primary caregivers. This involves short term care of a few hours or weeks until the primary caregiver can return back to work.

Personal Care Services

Assists client with ADLS (Activities of Daily Living) including: bathing, toiletry, grooming, shaving, dental care, and dressing.

Assisting with Mobility

Assists client with ambulation. Uses proper body mechanics to assist client.

Providing Transfer Assistance

Assisting client from wheelchair to bed, transferring from bed to chair, etc. Provides assistance to decrease fall risk. Helps to improve patient stability.

Preparing Meals and Feeding

Caregivers stay up-to-date with dietary information and prepare meals for clients. Assist client with feeding themselves when needed.

Light Housekeeping

Laundry, dusting, vacuuming, taking out the trash, changing bed linens, washing dishes, wiping down kitchen counters, wiping down bathroom countertops, mirrors, sinks, showers, tubs, after bathing.

Controlling Infections

Caregivers are constantly alert to the need for cleanliness. They practice good infection control by constantly washing hands and wearing gloves as needed.

Preventing Falls

Assisting clients with ambulation to help maintain balance. They pay close attention to client surroundings and make sure there are no tripping hazards lying around. Encourage clients to wear supportive shoes.

Feeding Assistance

Encourages the client to eat, and assists client with feeding themselves when needed.

Medication Reminders

Ensure that client’s medication is taken on time and remind them whether it is to be taken with or without food.

Meal Preparation

Prepare meals for client according to client’s diet.


Assists clients with dressing. Assists with brushing client’s hair, brushing teeth, etc.


If I really like my caregiver, will I be able to keep that person?

We always attempt to keep our caregivers matched with our clients. In some situations, based on schedule, we might have to provide another individual that is also matched with you based on your needs. However, if you prefer a change in caregiver, we will also happily facilitate.

What happens if a caregiver doesn’t show up for their shift?

Contact our office and speak with the supervisor. We are committed to our clients, and no shows are not acceptable. We will work with you to find a replacement for your shift.

What happens if my caregiver calls in sick?

We will send out a short term replacement until the primary caregiver is well enough to return to work.

What are the fees that are associated with this caregiving service?

Do I need to tip my caregiver?

Caregivers are prohibited from receiving any kind of monetary gifts from clients.

What is the cost of service on holidays?

All holidays are billed at time and one half the normal rate. The holidays observed are: Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Are your caregivers available 24/7?

Yes. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Do you provide services in assisted living facilities?

Yes. Wherever the client lives, we go. We provide services in homes, nursing homes, assisted livings, hospitals, etc.

How do I start caregiver services with Comfort Caregivers?

Call our office at (205) 730-2358 and speak with our supervisor. The supervisor will send a nurse to your home to complete an initial assessment. We will then start the caregiver matching process. We take into consideration your needs, and ultimately match you with the best caregiver. We will help you find a caregiver who meets your needs and has the specialized training that you have been looking for. Our caregivers have a list of skills that they can perform, that will individually match with each client and their needs.
